As employees work longer and retirement decisions become increasingly complex, benefits and compensation professionals are often called upon to help employees understand how Social Security and Medicare fit into their overall retirement strategy.

In this session, Benjamin D. Coles, MBA, NSSA, will explain the fundamentals of Social Security, including eligibility, benefit calculations, claiming strategies, taxation, and the impact of continued employment on benefits. Daela Taeoalii-Higgs, Licensed Agent with Senior Benefits Insurance Services, will cover Medicare essentials, including enrollment timelines, coordination with employer-sponsored health plans, and common pitfalls employees encounter as they approach age 65.

Participants will leave with practical knowledge and actionable guidance to confidently answer employee questions, support smoother retirement transitions, and serve as a trusted resource for employees preparing for retirement.
